There is a new UKC Papillon and Phalene club that welcomes both the experienced and new papilllon or phalene owner. Comprised of both pet owners, breeders and those who show in both AKC and UKC, the club mentors and helps it's members who have questions about their dogs. We at Pixiedust Papillons have been aware of The UKC as a reputable all breed registry for some years. In the past, we have registered papillons with them. This last weekend, we entered a papillon in a UKC show for the first time.  

What an experience! The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The judges actually talked to the exhibitors and helped them understand the judges' placements. Exhibitors took time to help each other get dogs into the ring. No paid professional handlers are allowed in UKC shows. How refreshing to be able to show a papillon and truly know that the papillon is being judged, not the handler at the end of of the lead.

We are so impressed that every Pixiedust Papillon is dual registered with both AKC and UKC. UKC offers a lot more for your registration dollar as well. We were pleased to see that a 3 generation pedigree is included with registration, unlike AKC, which charges extra for a pedigree. UKC puts the tattoo or microchip number of the papillon on the registration papers, AKC does not.

When we had questions, about the shows or the registration, UKC responded within a matter of hours, not days. That's service! Now, All our current papillons are dual registered AKC and UKC.

We encourage any papillon owner who wants to participate with their papillon in conformation, agility, obedience , rally or a number of other events , to go to UKC and give them a try. We are sure you will be as excited as we are.
