We take great care to insure the health and temperament of each breeding. Our  Papillons have excelled as obedience, agility and therapy dogs, in addition to becoming AKC conformation Champions.

 We believe in socializing all our papillons  from the time they are puppies. Our adult Papillons  all live in the house with us and are not caged as a regular part of their life. Our Papillons are our pets first and always.

All our papillon  puppies have a series of shots before they leave. Pixiedust is not a proponent of over vaccination, we hope any new papillons puppy owner will take time to educate themselves on the vaccination issues.

All of the health testing Pixiedust Papillons does, is not enough if the papillon puppies are not properly fed. Better feeding helps bring out much of the potential of all papillons, starting with puppies. There is a page on feeding with suggestions to other places to help our papillons puppy owners have the healthiest papillon puppies and dogs.

At Pixiedust Papillons, we are strong advocates of non aversive training methods. We feel humans should take more time to understand their papillons, after all, we are supposed to be the more intelligent species. It is our belief that too many people and trainers use punishment in the hopes of getting faster or more perfect behavior from their Papillon puppies or dogs. Humans are not perfect, why should we punish a poor animal for not being better than us?
